Nine point outline
This is an early start of a novel I am working on.Using the check list in Steve's Book.
Act 1 scene1
Hook-
Wellington
Doud arrives home. As he walks in the door his wife slams the phone
down. She explains someone has been calling every ten minutes and
laughing in some foreign language.
He plays it down, and calms her down
They go out to dinner...she wants to announce her first pregnancy
They plan to meet her sister and husband...Is suposed to be a happy surprise but they are a no show.
Background -
I was working as a private detective when things started to come unglued.
A
routine case of insurance fraud turned up an individual who had assumed
a false identity. The perpetrator went to jail but the police had
no
success finding his true identity. The FBI was called in to help. The
FBI identifies the prisoner but the killer made a daring and ingenious
jail break. It was the deadly flesh eating Crime Gang Cartel leader, the
Cannibal, aka THE Bumper.
Trigger-
Doud's wife is murmured. and he is shot, they both go to Spawn
Memorial Hospital., Corpus Christi, Texas. A baby boy is born...they
were expection a girl.
Act 2
Crisis- moment
of doubt and questioning... Jesus help me...he meant it. He was a Bible
belt kid raised on a ranch married at 17 to his hight school
sweetheart. [Mr. Sqeakey clean] Turning the other Cheek was not an
option in his mind... and it tears away at his core belief system.
Struggle ~series of trial and error.
The
jail break was accomplished by the Bumper's extorting and threating
someone one at the county lock-up. The FBI shares: their is a vast
gang...working with Chinese Nationals flooding the states with low cost
pot and senthetic herion. Add Twists , slow progress to nail the
Canibal/Bumper.
Epiphany Doud
realizes this might be the big case of all cases and calls a friend in
Washington to get a referral of someone with clout and experience. A
retired Mob Busting agent from Chicago is unofficially santioned to
establish the net work and ewaluation in Mexico and Texas acting as a
leader of Mercenaries FBI Agent from Chicago to clearly, a moment of
optimistic clarity.- or something...
Act 3
The plan
The
agent from Chicago, Adam Berlin, is the son of a world class chemist
who worked in ananimity for years doing and now directing research at
the U of C.
They anticipated this time would come. They have going gene slicing experiments that ...bla bla bla...
The climax
The End
